Recently we’ve seen big price drops on smart speakers and tablets but now it’s Google’s media streaming dongle which is up for grabs at a fraction of the usual retail price.
For a limited time, Google has dropped the price of the Chromecast 2015 by £11 in the UK (bringing it to just £19) as part of a series of deals during the week of Black Friday. Elsewhere in Europe, Google is also offering a bunch of different discounts on their streaming dongles including up to €10 off Chromecast Ultra and €5 on Chromecast and Chromecast Audio. Unfortunately, all Chromecast models remain at full price in the US at the time of posting.
The discounted Chromecasts can be purchased directly from the Google Store or from selected retailers. In the UK these currently include John Lewis, Maplin, Currys PC Word, TESCO and others via eBay Deals. Argos also have a similar discount at the moment but their price is £1 higher. Many of these stores also offer the added benefit of 2 months free Now TV.
Maybe you think a new Chromecast would make the ideal Christmas gift for someone you know or perhaps you feel that it would make the perfect partner for the new Google Home Mini that you ordered with the discount we posted before. There are lots of good reasons to want a Chromecast but whatever reason you might have, it just got that bit easier to click that buy button.
