In recent times phones manufacturer Sony Ericsson have started producing quite a few Android powered smartphones under the ‘Xperia’ product line. However, most of their phones still run a proprietary OS.

Today though they announced that they would be making Android their primary focus. They even suggested they may make a complete switch to Android in the future.

Although I and many others feel this is a good move for the company, some fear that Android version fragmentation may be an issue which could harm the success of the platform and also risk hurting their brand image.

When Sony Ericsson were questioned about this though they said that Google would have a solution to this problem “in the next few days”. These are very interesting words from the phone manufacturer which if accurate, mean we could be in for quite a treat!

Updates for all??

Stay tuned! We will be paying close attention to any future developments.
