OnePlus just announced through their forums that an OTA update to the CyanogenMod 11s ROM the One uses is going to add a new mode to the camera. They call it Clear Image Mode, and it enables the camera to take ten pictures, and then compress and interlace them into one. They say this will increase image quality, as well as reducing the noise in low-light images.

This sounds extremely similar to the feature on the Oppo Find 7, the device that much of the One is based on, which also uses a 13MP camera.

The updated also kicked the device up to 4.4.4 KitKat, so it is now on the latest version of Android.
